Personalities Start to Show
By early July, Kyle and Alyssa were really starting to show their personalities. This was another one of my favorites. Alyssa was calm and not too wiggly and Kyle was in a different position on every snapshot! One Month Old- June 17, 2008
On the 17th of every month, I dress up the twins and take their picture together. I always have them on the same sides. It has been so neat to see how much they change each month. So, here they are, one month old. Alyssa was finally wearing "Newborn" size clothes and Kyle was in 0-3 months. He outgrew his clothes much quicker than Alyssa (and still does!). I had these outfits picked out for Father's Day, which was the day before. Perfect Pictures!
Here they are, only 5 days old. I was trying to take pictures of them for their announcements. I got a lot of cute pictures, but not one that really stood out to me. It was funny watching them because eventually they ended up in the same position. I couldn't get Kyle to keep his head straight and then Alyssa is plugging up her ear. I learned real quick that it is very difficult to get a perfect picture with two babies! Ha! A week or two later, I tried again. This time they were more alert. They were 2 1/2 weeks old when I finally got the picture I wanted. It will always be my favorite!
In the beginning...

The pregnancy went great! I carried Kyle and Alyssa for 36 1/2 weeks. I worked until I was 30 weeks (April 1st) and the doctor told me it was time for bedrest. I gained 40 pounds (which was a lot for me!) By the end, I could barely walk, and I couldn't move in bed. The day before the babies were born, my mom took me to Lowe's to get flowers (in a wheelchair of course). I was just dying to plant spring flowers, so mom said she would plant them for me. We picked them out, ran through the drive-thru at Steak-n-Shake, and came home. I sat outside on a lawn chair and mom planted the flowers for me. She took a picture of me standing beside the Iris plants that Brian had given me for my 1st Mother's Day. Turns out, it would be the last picture I took of my pregnancy before labor began!
My First Blog!
I hope this makes viewing pictures of the twins much easier for us all! You all know I would love to share every picture I have! Now that they are 6 months old, I realize how much they've grown. I love to look back at how tiny they were such a short time ago. So, I'm going to start from the beginning...our story of our two little miracles. Time flies so fast and I want to remember every part. I hope you all enjoy our stories and pictures. Thank you all for being supportive and a part of our lives!

The Twins Arrive

Kyle and Alyssa were born on May 17, 2008. Kyle was 4.15 and Alyssa was 3.15. Both were healthy enough to stay out of the NICU and both were able to come home with me on the third day. I was so proud of them! God truly blessed us with two beautiful and healthy babies! Here is their 1st picture together...
