More from 8 months old!

Just a few of my favorites from their 8th month...
Kyle and Alyssa in the tub- I always spike up Kyle's hair when I wash it- Alyssa has water dripping down her face after she splashed half the water out of the bathtub!
Above, Alyssa found her tongue. She kept sticking it out as far as she could! Kyle played in the laundry basket and Brian slid him around the floor. He thought that was a lot of fun!

January 2009- 8 months old

Kyle and Alyssa turned 8 months on January 17th. I put them in matching GAP outfits and took their picture like I do every month. Every time I look back at their pictures, I realize how much they change. I always think, "Man, Kyle has so much hair!" Then when I look back, it's not as much as he has now! Poor Alyssa just can't get her hair to thicken up!
For Christmas, Alyssa got a singing stage with a microphone. Here she is "singing." Kyle was still enjoying his time in the swing. Check out his dinosaur feet!

Christmas 2008

The holidays were a lot of fun! The weekend after Thanksgiving we spent all day getting ready to go see Santa at the Lawrenceville Historic Courthouse. We got there and he wasn't there! Santa wasn't scheduled to be there until the next weekend. So we decided since we got all dressed up, we would go out to eat. When we got home, we took some pictures of them dressed up and some of them with their Christmas pj's on (top 2 pictures). The next weekend we tried again to go see Santa. This time Santa was there and we were the first ones in line! Kyle and Alyssa did really good! They both looked at him kind of funny, but they enjoyed it. As you can see in the picture, Alyssa got a hold of his beard and wouldn't let go. Kyle ended up pulling on it too. Alyssa's hand actually got tangled in his beard. After we got her hand out, she had his beard hair in her hand. When we were done, Santa got up and had to go comb his beard and tidy up a bit! ha!

November 2008- 6 Months Old

*Fun with Food! I had dropped peaches on Alyssa's bib and she was wiggling her arms around and threw the bib up on her face. That made the peaches go all over her nose! I was laughing so hard that she knew she was being funny and cute!
*Kyle started enjoying playing on his tummy. He loved to roll around. But at this point, he would only roll one way and then get frustrated. He has always smiled for the camera!

November 17, 2008...This was my favorite picture. Alyssa kept rolling over on Kyle because she was getting tired of sitting up. It was so sweet of her to just lay her head on his shoulder. Every month they become more mobile and it's gotten harder and harder to get pictures with both of them smiling at the same time. Out of 20 shots, I get a few really good ones! :)

October- 5 mths old

We are getting ready for Halloween! On this day, we were very busy! First, we went to Jacob's baseball game, came back to Grandma's house to play with her silly witch and eat some lunch, then we went to Jolie's soccer game! We were worn out, but we had a lot of fun!

Here we are at the pumpkin patch in Watkinsville. The babies had a fun time looking at all the pumpkins. Most of them were bigger than Kyle and Alyssa!

Kyle and Alyssa's First Halloween! They weren't too sure why they were all dressed up, but they sure did like all the attention they were getting! Alyssa was a "Love Bug" and Kyle was a "Little Monster." The whole family came over to see them dressed up. After all of our pictures, Brian and I took them trick-or-treating around our neighborhood and visited all of our neighbors. Alyssa slept the first half of our walk, and Kyle slept the second half. By seven o'clock they were tired of their costumes and ready for bed!

4 Months Old

By September, Kyle was holding his head up pretty good when laying on his stomach. Alyssa would do it, but get frustrated after 2 minutes. She would get tired of holding her head up and tense up and her face would turn all red becuase she was so mad.
They also started to play and interact with each other more. They would grab at each other and smile. They were really aware that they had someone else there.

August 2008- 3 mths old

We had a very busy August! Jacob had a UGA themed birthday party for his 5th birthday. We all had to wear our team spiritwear. Jody had made a football field in the front yard for all the kids to play. Jacob even had a run-through banner to start the big game! Little did he know, Hairy Dawg was waiting to surpise him! Hairy got out on the field with Jacob and all the kids to play football. Then he spent a lot of time taking pictures with everyone. The babies were completely entertained by Hairy! This was the first time we really saw Kyle laugh hard!

The second picture is us getting ready to take our daily walk around the neighborhood! Of course they had to wear their sunglasses! :)
